Thank you for your support of this project by presenting at this years Video Conferencing Tour Series. Please feel free to contact either
Ashton Graham or Linda McDonald regarding your presentation. We want your presentation to be a success.
How long should my presentation be for this program?
Each hour is dedicated to a College or University. We want to give 5 mins at the beginning and at the end of each program to do roll call and to rap up each session. We would like presenters to limit their presentation to 20 mins. to allow the remaining time to be Q & A from the sites.
How do I manage all of the schools and sites?
You don't :) As facilitators of this program we will be managing the conference for you. At the beginning of each hour we will run a roll call of sites and introduce you as a presenter. When your presentation is complete we will facilitate the Q & A portion calling on the sites for you. That way you as a presenter can focus on the questions & not worry about the sites.
What can I do make my program a success?
A good presentation over video is a combination of video, presentation software and you. We want to avoid long periods of time on a PowerPoint Side or just a 20 min video. Bouncing between content and you every min or two is a nice combination of sources during your presentation. We suggest your ppt contain images of your University or College. We want a virtual tour of your campus - pictures of your campus,.... Some campuses have incorporated students, live webcams from their campus,
Do I need to stay connected all day?
No, We will give your technical department a dial in number for the conference. We ask that you connect to the conference 30mins prior to the start of the program just in case we have any problems. If you change rooms or endpoints we need to know if your IP number changes for you to connect to the bridge.
More Tips for your Presentations:
no swivel chairs, lighting in the room - don't stand in front of a window or have a bright wall behind you.., be flexible..p
